What each post status means
Posted, pending, sent to drafts, needs attention — read plainly.
- Posted — it is live on the platform.
- Pending — accepted by the platform and awaiting confirmation. This usually resolves to posted on its own.
- Sent to drafts — delivered to your account’s drafts, waiting for you to publish. This is a success state.
- Needs attention — the platform rejected it for a reason that will not fix itself, such as a disconnected or suspended account. Retrying will not help until you address it.
- Failed — a transient problem. These are retried.
Needs attention and failed are deliberately different. A permanent problem retried ten times is ten wasted days; it is surfaced to you instead.
Common questions
My post says pending — is it stuck?
Usually not. Pending means the platform accepted it and confirmation has not arrived yet.
What do I do about needs attention?
Reconnect or fix the account, then post again.
