How posting to TikTok works

Why a TikTok post lands in your drafts, and why that is the finished state.

Clips sent to TikTok arrive in your TikTok inbox as a draft. You open TikTok, add anything you want to add, and press post.

This is a completed hand-off, not a failure. It is worth stating plainly because a draft is easy to mistake for something going wrong — the clip is on TikTok, it is waiting for you, and nothing is broken.

Open the TikTok app to find it. It will not appear on your profile until you post it there.

Common questions

Why does it not post automatically?

The clip is delivered to your TikTok drafts, where you finish and publish it.

Did my post fail?

If it says it went to your drafts, no. Open TikTok and publish it.
