What MiniMax H3 is
MiniMax H3 is the newest video model from MiniMax, the company behind the Hailuo AI video app. In ClipSpeed it sits in the same AI video generator as Seedance, Kling and Veo, and it draws from the same credits as your clips. It renders clips from 4 to 15 seconds at 768p or 2K, in 9:16 or 16:9.
What it is good at
MiniMax models are known for people: expressions, walking, turning and hand movement that look natural. H3 adds 2K output, the sharpest of our video models, which helps when a clip will be cropped, shown on a large screen or cut into a vertical frame from a wide one. Its length, up to 15 seconds, sits between Seedance Fast (12) and Seedance 2.5 (30).
Start and end frames
Add one image through “+ Add reference” to start the clip on it, or two images to set a start and an end frame; the model fills in the movement between them. This is a useful way to control a reveal or a transformation. See image to video for how to write the motion.
What it does not do
MiniMax H3 does not generate sound in ClipSpeed. For a clip with sound, use Kling 3.0 or Veo 3.1. We currently have one MiniMax H3 example on this page, the paper-boat race; the other clips are labelled with the models that made them so you can compare styles.
